Karcher K2 Full Control Home Review: Is it worth the extra?
We like: Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Provides a storage solution for lances and hose. Patio cleaner is a good addition.
Not so good: Some plastics are a bit flimsy. You’ll have to make do with suction detergent addition.
Our verdict: Compact and user-friendly pressure washer with some unique features. A highly recommended product. Usually available for not much more than the other K2 pressure washers.

You’re getting towards the top end of the K2 range with this model, only the Premium Full Control Home sits above it. Compared to the K2 Full Control, the Home also comes with a patio cleaning tool. The Premium costs quite a bit more than the “standard” Full Control Version and we think this is a lot to pay for the extra 2 metres of hose and a detergent tank.
Motor and Performance
In terms of entry-level and budget pressure washers, this K2 is definitely a model you should consider. It is ideal for small patios as well as car and outdoor furniture cleaning. This K2 model has a 1.4 kW motor with 110 bar maximum pressure so, while not the most powerful in the Karcher range, its ideal if you’re looking to remove some dirt and grime off your patio or decking. The flow rate is also decent at 360 litres per hour (or 6 litres per minute) but you’ll want the more powerful models if you need to clean larger areas in a hurry.
Be aware though that a build up of years of grime, moss or dirt will take some shifting using this model compared to the higher spec K4.
Full Control Click Vario Power lance
This Karcher K2 comes with a Full Control lance which has four adjustable pressure settings that can be changed according to what surface you are washing. It doesn’t include the LCD display found on the K4/K5/K7 Full Control models but the Vario Power lance is still a useful addition if you have different types of cleaning task to perform in one go.
Also included is a Dirt Blaster lance that rotates the water nozzle so that you can get as much water power as possible to a specific area of stubborn dirt or grime.
Patio Cleaner
As this is a Home version of the K2 Full Control, this pressure washer comes with a patio cleaning tool and 500ml of 3-in-1 Patio and Deck Cleaner to get you started. Although this is only the basic T150 patio cleaner (the better versions are larger and have adjustable control) it still does a good job of cleaning patios and decking without getting walls (and everything else) covered in dirt and moss.
Other features
The design of the model matches the rest of the Karcher pressure washer range and has twin wheels and a telescopic handle on the top. Since the model has a compact design and is easy to move around on the wheels it provides a lot of flexibility in terms of how much you can clean in one go.
For detergent addition, most K2’s use a suction tube system that feeds directly from a detergent bottle placed near to the pressure washer. It’s an okay system if you don’t plan on using detergent too frequently. If you do, such as for car cleaning, then we would recommend you take a look at one of the K4 models with the Plug and Clean detergent system as this is much easier to use.
